"Created entirely by 15 year old Anthony Amorim, ‘Adam’ is the story of a 16 year old boy and his struggle through depression. Based loosely on submitted stories from real teenagers, ‘Adam’ is a video diary-esque look at depression in teens."
Over the summer of 2013, I wrote, produced, filmed, edited, and starred in a short film called Adam. It also stars Kathleen Currie as my mother. The film is based on bloggers on the website Tumblr, and one of my best friends who suffers from depression. It is also based on the song Adam’s Song by Blink-182. It is currently entered into the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals. I hope you guys enjoy it, and I hope it inspires people to get help.
I’m sorry the video is in such bad quality, it would take a very long time to release it in HD.I know it seems long but it’s so real this guy is amazing
i am sobbing
when I was in the seventh grade I accidentally got invited to a birthday party but the kid realized he sent me an invite and told me not to come and I was just sadly watching people post on Facebook about how they were getting ready and then out of nowhere a giant blizzard knocked out power for the entire town and they had to cancel and that’s why I believe in god
I have to admit, I also really dislike the whole implication of ‘It Gets Better’, that LGBTQ kids just have to wait it out until they are adults, and be miserable for now. They don’t want to have to sit in misery and wait for it to get better in 10 years time, they need people in their schools and communities making sure action is taking place to make things better for them right now.
'it gets better' allows adults to sit around and do nothing to help lol
